Terms of Service
Last updated: this document describes how trading, verification, fees, and shipping work on Cache. It is a plain-language summary for the site — it is not a substitute for legal advice.
1. Your Account
You must create an account to trade, scan cards, or access the matching engine. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for the accuracy of the listings and wishlist entries you submit.
2. The Cache Verification Process
Every trade on Cache follows the same pipeline, regardless of membership tier:
- Scan & catalog — cards are added to your collection via the Cache mobile app scanner, with a live value attached.
- Match & offer — the matching engine surfaces balanced trades from open collections on the floor; either side may send or accept an offer.
- Receive & inspect — Cache receives both packages at our verification hub before either one is forwarded. Contents are checked by hand against the agreed listing.
- Forward & deliver — once both packages pass inspection, we forward each package to its recipient with prepaid, tracked labels.
Cache never releases a package to its recipient until the corresponding package from the other trader has cleared inspection. If a package fails inspection (wrong card, undisclosed damage, or a print that doesn't match the listing), we pause the trade, notify both traders, and hold the mismatched package at the hub while the trade is resolved or reversed.
3. Fees
Basic members pay a 3% transparent transaction fee per completed trade. Collector and Vendor members pay 1.5%. Fees are calculated on the declared value of the trade and are shown before you confirm any offer — there are no additional listing or matching fees.
4. Shipping
Basic and Collector trades ship at standard carrier rates, split between both traders, with tracked labels on both legs. Vendor accounts may ship directly to their own customers rather than routing through the peer-to-peer hub flow.
5. Prohibited Conduct
- Listing counterfeit, stolen, or misrepresented cards.
- Attempting to arrange a trade outside the Cache hub to avoid verification or fees.
- Abusing the scanner, matching engine, or storefront tools to manipulate pricing data.
Violations may result in a paused trade, a held package, or account suspension.
6. Disputes & Cancellations
Either trader may cancel an offer before both packages have been received at the hub. Once a package has cleared inspection and been forwarded, the trade is final. Disputes over condition or authenticity are resolved using the hub's inspection photos and notes as the record of reference.
7. Limitation of Liability
Cache verifies package contents against the agreed listing but does not independently grade or authenticate cards beyond that check. Live market pricing is informational and not a guarantee of resale value.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. Continued use of Cache after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
